Frequently Asked Questions
Hi, I’m Megan – thanks for stopping by!
I’ve been a photographer since 2016, specialising in families, newborns, maternity, couples, and small weddings. I know you probably have lots of questions – and that’s totally normal! That’s why I’ve put together this FAQ page to help you feel confident, prepared, and excited about your session.
Whether you’re wondering what to wear, how to prep your little one, or what happens after your shoot, I’m here to make the whole process simple and enjoyable. I believe in capturing real connection in a relaxed, natural way – no stiff poses or awkward moments, promise!

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually with my family, out walking, or enjoying a quiet tea break (bonus points if there’s a malted milk biscuit involved).

Let’s dive into your questions!
General Questions
Do you photograph pets?
Yes! Pets are family too, and you're more than welcome to include them in your session — whether it's a family shoot, maternity session, or even your wedding day. Just let me know in advance so I can prepare accordingly.

Do you offer branding photography?
I currently focus on families, newborns, maternity, couples, and weddings. However, I occasionally take on personal branding sessions if they align with my natural, storytelling style. Feel free to get in touch and tell me about your vision — if I’m not the right fit, I’ll happily recommend someone who is.

What products do you offer?
In addition to digital galleries, I offer high-quality prints, albums, and wall art to help you display your memories beautifully. I can guide you through the options after your session — from heirloom albums to framed prints, everything is professionally crafted to last a lifetime.

Newborn Photography
When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking while you’re still pregnant — ideally after your 20-week scan. We’ll pencil in your due date and then confirm the session once baby arrives. The ideal time to photograph newborns is within the first 5–14 days.

Am I too late to book if my baby is older than 14 days?
Absolutely not. You can book a newborn session at anytime. You have not missed out if your baby is older than 14 days, they will just be less sleepy is all.

Do you come to us or do we come to you?
Newborn sessions are typically held in your home or at my studio based in Wisbech. I’ll bring everything needed to create a calm, cosy environment where baby can be safe and comfortable.

What if my baby doesn’t settle?
Don’t worry — it’s completely normal! I allow plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, and settling. The session is led by baby, and there’s no pressure. I’ve worked with many newborns, and patience is always part of the process.

Can siblings be included in the session?
Absolutely. Sibling and family photos are always encouraged! These moments are just as much about your growing family as they are about the newest member.

Family Photography
What should we wear for our family session?
I suggest soft, neutral tones and minimal patterns to keep the focus on connection and emotion. Once you book, I’ll send over a style guide and help you choose outfits that work beautifully together.

Where do the sessions take place?
We can shoot outdoors at a location you love (like a park, the beach or a field), or in your home. We’ll choose a spot that suits your family’s vibe and allows for natural, relaxed interaction.

How long does a family session last?
Sessions usually last around 45–60 minutes. It’s enough time to capture a great mix of candid and gently posed moments, without the kids feeling overwhelmed or restless. There is no time limit on a full session though.

Wedding Photography
Do you photograph big weddings or just small ones?
I specialise in small weddings and elopements, capturing the intimacy and connection of your day with a relaxed, documentary style. If you're planning something more personal and heartfelt, I’d love to be part of it.

Can we meet before the big day?
Definitely! I always recommend a pre-wedding chat, either in person or over Zoom. It’s a great way to get to know each other, go over your timeline, and make sure we're on the same page.

How many images will we receive?
Every wedding is different, but on average you can expect 300–600 edited images, depending on the coverage. You’ll receive your images in a private online gallery with the option to download, share, and order prints.

Do you offer albums?
Yes — I offer beautifully crafted albums that tell the story of your day from start to finish. These are designed with care and intention, and are available as part of your package or as an add-on after your wedding.
